Some Hot Debatable Issues.

Sectarianism is on rife in Pakistan these days. Massacre is taking place on major events of Pakistan. Law and Order is at stake and institutions are facing challenges. There are many causes to its recent rise. One of those causes could be the Iran-US thaw over nuclear issue. This is further elaborated in this piece of writing by Ayesha Siddiqa persistent on our page Shagird Forum on facebook. Understand the myth behind sectarianism in our country.
Democracy is the government of the people by the people and for the people. In democratic system of governance the power is kept separated by creating institutions sharing power. This separation of power is done to avoid any concentration of power in single hand/place/institution thus to avoid dictatorship. There are three major institution in democracies: Legislative (Parliament and senate), Executive (Cabinet and Bureaucracy: military as well as civilian) and Judiciary. In Pakistan we started as democracy since our inception. The failure in making constitution and dealing with other problems by our Legislative institution brought Military into the game of politics since then Military has encroached upon the rights of Civilians in our country..... This article describes the current nature of Civil-Military divide and relation after the change of command at GHQ.. interesting one to read... don't miss it and share it as much as you can.
Everyone talks about change but no one points out actually where do we need that change? And one must note that change is inevitable and constant, it has to come. If we are not prepared for it, it will engulf us and could also fail us to make its own course. How we can change ourselves and be prosperous is answered in this Opinion article by Dr. Akmal. Great explanation in simple words keeping current circumstance in sight.
